My New Site

New Website (again)

After a week of downtime the new CodeOnCall.com site is up. My previous site became a bit unwieldy so I decided to simplify and get back to basics.
Should you hire a web subcontractor?

On occasion every busy Ad Agency gets overwhelmed with work. Well, hopefully anyway. When this happens what do you do? Do you hire a new employee. What if the workload lessens again? Letting an employee go is never an easy thing to do. Enter the subcontractor! We are accustomed to coming in, getting the work done, and, well, leaving. LOL!

Here are some darn good reasons to hire a subcontractor (like me):

  • Hiring a subcontractor means getting work done without incurring the costs of hiring, training, and health insurance. (hopefully the current administration will soon make health insurance affordable to subcontractors while lessening your own employee insurance costs as well)
  • Subcontractors work from their own offices so there's no need to give up office space, or worse, set up a makeshift office in the hallway (been there done that).
  • Subcontractors need to do a good job in order to retain your business. You will always get our best work. Moreover you are always treated like a valuable client and not "the boss".
  • Finally, replacing a subcontractor is much easier than replacing an employee; just stop giving us work. It's that easy.
